Spartan Games: Eclipse Company mercenaries for Dystopian Wars

Spartan Game has previewed another new faction for Dystopian Wars:

The Honourable Eclipse Company (HEC) is one of the largest and most successful mercenary outfits in the world. Operating worldwide, they have come to see the value of not associating with any single major power. The HEC prides itself on service without prejudice, so whatever your faction, they will be willing to give their all in battle... for a suitable fee, of course!

The powerful air Brigades of the HEC are becoming a common sight around the world, as canny or desperate military commanders and politicians empty their coffers to employ these highly trained and well-armed specialists. At the heart of the Aerial Battle Group is the mighty Elysium Class hybrid airship. This versatile vessel carries a swarm of stout Horten Kestrel and Sparrowhawk combat aeroplanes, as well as impressive firepower. Supported by a trio of Phoenician Scout airships, long-range Oceanus Class strike bombers and the exceptionally swift Hades Class flyers, this exciting set is surely one of the most powerful aerial forces to be seen in the Dystopian World.
HEC Brigades are commonly based in specially designed military structures, such as the Tartarus Class Fortification. Based on designs frequently used for oil drilling and mining in inhospitable regions, the Tartarus' well-appointed accommodation and ample stores are heavily defended by formidable weaponry. These vital bases give crucial support for your HEC forces, and can make a fine addition to a Dystopian Wars terrain collection in their own right.

Horus Heresy: Legion Medusa

ForgeWorld releases the Horus Heresy Legion Medusa:

One of the heavy artillery units available to the Legiones Astartes is the Medusa, which carries a short ranged but extremely powerful siege mortar capable of breaching all but the thickest walls. When a breach has been secured, the Medusa will then move forwards to support the assault, and is capable of leveling buildings with a single shell.

Horus Heresy: MkII Command Set

ForgeWorld releases the Horus Heresy MkII Command Set:

The origins of MkII Crusade power armour hark back to the dawn of the Great Crusade when Mankind travelled out into the stars to forge the Imperium. Even during the Horus Heresy, Crusade armour is still one of the most common suits used within the Legiones Astartes and many of the earliest examples carry with them a glorious history. These suits are often reworked by master artificers to show the elevated status that their wearer now carries, be they leaders, champions, line officers or standard bearers.

Horus Heresy: Kharn the Bloody

ForgeWorld releases Kharn in his Horus Heresy era incarnation:

A skilled warrior and duellist, Khârn was a line captain at the time of Angron’s rediscovery, but soon rose to become his Primarch’s equerry and one of the few whose counsel he heeded. It was Khârn who acted as the voice of reason for Angron, often bringing his master back from the brink of insanity and curbing the worst of his bloody excesses.

But Khârn was by no means immune to the cancerous rage which afflicted his Legion, and it was upon the ravaged surface of Isstvan III that he first surrendered himself fully to the bloodshed and slaughter. At the height of the battle, Khârn fell during a confrontation with Garviel Loken of the Sons of the Horus, impaled upon the ram of a Land Raider and left for dead by his own comrades. Somehow he survived and his eventual return to the front line was seen by many World Eaters as nothing short of miraculous, a sure sign that he still had some dark destiny to achieve in the bloody days to come.

Breaking: X-Wing Wave 4 Revealed!

All pilots to your ships! Fantasy Flight Games has just announced the next expansion for X-Wing and it is going to add all kinds of exciting new options for Rebel and Imperial players alike! Four new ships are coming with this and it is great to see the game continue to tap the expanded universe!

The Rebels are getting Z-95 Headhunters which will open up some swarm lists for Rebels which could also see some missile spam action.

The Rebels are also getting the E-Wing which is a combines the best of both X-Wings and A-Wings.

The Imperials get the mighty TIE Defender, personally, my favorite ship in Star Wars, and the TIE Phantom as well. The defender is an interceptor on steroids with all the same firepower and maneuverability coupled with shields. It features powerful upgrades and apparently a never before seen maneuver on the dial.

The Phantom packs a real punch and also includes a cloaking device. This will open up some really interesting tactical possibilities for the Imperials.

Which ship are you most excited about in this new wave?
