News: GW Ultimate Paint Set!
Check out the latest release from Games-Workshop - the new Ultimate Paint Set tops out at 144 paints!
From GW's site:
"The Ultimate Paint Set is surely the mightiest set of paints that Games Workshop has ever produced, and contains every one of our 144 Citadel Paints. Yep, that's 34 Base paints, 12 Shades, 70 Layer paints, 6 Texture paints, 15 Dry Compounds, 4 Glazes and 3 Technical paints - what's more, all of these come packed into six drawers in a robust cardboard unit. Whether or not you have a dedicated hobby area, this is a fantastic way to organise your paints."
This is great for someone looking to go all out with the painting aspect of the hobby but for the typical gamer it may be too much. It is nice that the box is organized with drawers to keep things organized for those without dedicated hobby space. Will you order an Ultimate Paint Set?

As you can see, these machines are armed with all sorts of brutal weapons including buzz saws! We'll have some commentary from Bryan regarding the starter he painted shortly so keep checking this post for updates. In the mean time, please feel free to let us know what you think about the Core or Dark Age of if you have any questions.

Hobby Update: Bone Griffons for Uncharted Seas
Slick here again with the first entry for my Bone Griffons painting log for Uncharted Seas. One of the fleets that really benefited from the new sculpts were the Bone Griffons which really drew me to starting a new fleet. The most obvious improvement for the Bone Griffons was in the size and quality of their undead Orcas which are almost as big as some cruisers! This first pic features all 6 from the starter. I will have some more updates soon so stay tuned! Comments welcome!

Imperial Guard: Sentinel 1
Slick here again, with another update for my Imperial Guard painting log. Today I have a work in progress sentinel to share with you guys. This one had been sitting unpainted for about a year in my case and with a recent painting competition at our local store as part of a 40K league, I decided to enter him in the dreadnought/monstrous creature category, as guard really do not have many choices in that area. Let's get into the pic:
I wanted to add a little bit of drama to the base and using a spare Ork I had laying around I decided to pose the sentinel stepping on the Ork's arm which was holding a big shoota. As with my other vehicles, I am using a specific cammo scheme.
The army symbol for my Imperial Guard
The ork reaching over trying to yank out his gun
Got some lens flare for the pilot

Imperial Guard: Armageddon Pattern Basilisk
Slick here again. Today I have an update for my imperial guard. I have been working on a bunch of my vehicles lately and the first one that is getting close to being finished is my Armageddon Pattern Basilisk. I decided to go with something similar to the German hinterhalt (ambush) cammo scheme. I really wanted to go all out on my armageddon pattern tanks and I added quite a bit of stowage which you can see in the pics below:
I used a spare tank figure from the baneblade kit to add a tank commander to the basilisk.
More stowage on this side with a backpack and spare fuel cans.
Interior detail. Still needs some finishing touches in here.
I will be finishing up some small details and then adding weather details. Let me know what you guys think!
